Wife of missing cartoonist marks 1000 days since abduction

Sandhya Eknelygoda, the wife of missing Sri Lankan political journalist/cartoonist Prageeth Eknelygoda has spent the last 1,000 days trying to find her husband or information about what became of him. He did not return home from work on January 24, 2010 and she alleges that the Sri Lankan government had something to do with it. Prageeth wrote and drew for Lankaenews.com – a website that was critical of the government. She is now appealing to the United Nations to apply pressure on Sri Lanka to divulge any information on the case.
