College dean collects 8,000 cartoons; now on exhibit

University of South Florida College of Public Health Dean Emeritus Charles Mahan started to collect original cartoons when he was 12. Over the years he has amassed a collection of over 8,000 pieces. Part of his collection was recently exhibited at the Tampa Museum of Art. He donated his collection to the University of South Florida College and is now exhibited at their Special Collections section at the USF Tampa library.
