Finding Nemo will be back in September and Monsters Inc. in December as Disney/Pixar re-releases the films to theaters in 3D.
When the 3D release of The Lion King ended up being a huge hit last year, Disney immediately sprung into action and announced that they would be re-releasing a number of films that had been converted to the third dimension. While we’ve already seen Beauty and the Beast 3D in theaters and Finding Nemo 3D will arrive this September, they also announced that Monsters Inc. 3D would be out on January 18, 2013. The move made a lot of sense, as Disney-Pixar will be releasing Monsters University, a prequel to the original film, next summer, but now the timetable has changed just a bit.
