The Emmy nominations have been announced. The two categories involving animation include Outstanding Short-Format Animated Program and Outstanding Animated Program 2012.

The nominees for Outstanding Short-Format Animated Program include:

• Phineas And Ferb (The Doonkleberry Imperative), Disney Channel
• MAD (Kitchen Nightmare Before Christmas / How I Met Your Mummy), Cartoon Network
• Regular Show (Eggscellent), Cartoon Network
• Adventure Time (Too Young), Cartoon Network
• Robot Chicken (Fight Club Paradise), Cartoon Network

The nominees for Outstanding Animated Program:

• American Dad (Hot Water), FOX
• The Penguins Of Madagascar: The Return Of The Revenge Of Dr. Blowhole, Nickelodeon
• Futurama (The Tip Of The Zoidberg), Comedy Central
• Bob’s Burgers (BurgerBoss), FOX
• The Simpsons (Holidays Of Future Passed), FOX

The Emmy awards will be announced on ABC on September 23rd.
