Angry Birds to land on TV in the fall

The NY Post reports that the addictive Angry Birds game is coming to television as animated 3 minute shorts. No news on where on television, but the strategy is to produce the shorts for tv, and mobile devices.

” ‘Angry Birds’ is not just about the gameplay, and will be in the future less and less about the slingshot, actually, and more and more about the characters,” Dorra said.

  1. All I can think of is Simpsons spots during the Tracy Ullman show… which is strange because its bound to not be nearly as cool or envelope pushing as that was.

Oh well good luck, will be interesting to see how it pans out.

  2. I’ve long thought Peep and the Big Wide World was essentially Angry Birds Babies.

  3. What cable channel will carry the Angry Birds shorts? Cartoon Network? Nickelodeon? The Hub? Disney XD?
