A couple of days ago I mentioned that Philadelphia Daily News editorial cartoonist Signe Wilkinson was taking a vacation and invited several local politicians to take the opporunity to draw cartoons in her spot in the newspaper. One of which was the city’s mayor, Michael Nutter, who has received a bit of attention for his cartoon. Here’s an interview where he talks about it.
It’s one thing to put your work out in the public knowing it will be critiqued, it’s quite another to do so when you know you’re not even remotely qualified to do it. Kudos to the mayor for taking a swing at editorial cartooning and being a good sport with the response.

Kudos to him just for being a good sport about it! The straighter his face got, the harder I laughed!
