Dave Brown named Political Cartoonist of the Year

Dave Brown, editorial cartoonist for the The Independent, has been named Political Cartoonist of the Year by the Cartoon Art Trust.

From The Independent:

He said after being presented with the award at a ceremony held at the Mall Galleries in London: “It’s very nice to be recognised. You do what you do but aren’t quite sure if anyone is getting it. This shows they do.”

The Cartoon Art Trust is an organization within the The Cartoon Museum which exhibits “the very finest examples of British cartoons, caricature, and comic art from the 18th century to the present day.”
