How does this remind one of Mike Myers? I’m really bad on “pop-culture references”. This has me worried, as I never want to be reminded of Myers.
@Katherine – Mike Meyer’s voiced Shrek and in several movies and comedy sketches does a thick Irish accent.
“Look at the size of that boy’s heed.
I’m not kidding, it’s like an orange on a toothpick.
Well, that’s a huge noggin. That’s a virtual planetoid.
Has it’s own weather system.
HEAD! MOVE!”

Thank you, Alan, for explaining. Now I remember Myers’ very irritating fake Irish accent in Shrek. I wonder what Irish people think of it.
While I’m into wondering: I wonder if the Pixar voices are “real” Irish, or dehydrated Instant Irish. I think I shall devote my life to uncovering The Truth in this affair.
And now the biggest question: does the entire nation of Ireland also remind us of Mike Myers? If so, keep quiet about it the next time you’re in Dublin.
Don’t forget Fat Bastard from Austin Powers.
What a large collection of eccentric performances.

Myers is known for his Scottish accent/characters, not Irish.
You are right, Norm. He does a scottish accent. I stand corrected. So is the movie based on an Irish or Scottish story?
“If it’s not Scottish, it’s crap!”
“Brave” appears to be set in Scotland.
