Interesting work by songwriter Jascha Hoffman and director Benjamin Harrison who went into the archives and pulled out Winsor McCay’s Little Nemo and put together a music video.
Winsor McCay was a pioneering animator in his day. It seems somewhat proper that his art is still being used.
Beautiful! Nice blend in the animation, and the music and lyrics were thought provoking and well done. McCay’s artwork still shines after all these years.
Tom Petty made a similar kind of video for “Running Down a Dream” that was done in the style of McKay’s Little Nemo in Slumberland. That was about 20 years ago now. Nice to see that McKay’s stuff is still being honored with tributes like this.
