Hallatt’s Arctic Circle takes on Fracking

Alex Hallatt is using her strip Arctic Circle to bring attention to the environmental issue of fracking. Fracking is the process of injecting water, sand and chemicals into the ground to break up rock formations and release natural gas which is then collected. Environmentalists are concerned that the process is contaminating water and causing other environmental damage.

The fracking themed strips will be published on August 1st and online at various Comics King websites.

  1. I am glad Fracking is not some grotesque fetish-type activity. ‘Cause then the title would be kinda gross… 😉

  2. You heard it here first….

    Thanks, Alan!

  3. Meanwhile, Yosemite Sam was cursing PRE-ESCIENTLY!

    “Fricking, fracking, ragabracking…Consarn it all!”

But now I’m wondering what kind of environmental damage “ragabracking” could be…

  4. Headlines we’d like to see: Fracking Causes Gas.

  5. That’s a smart answer to a difficult qutseion.
