Tom Racine interviews Over the Hedge co-creator Michael Fry

Tom Racine’s latest podcast is up with Over the Hedge co-creator Michael Fry.

I’ve wanted to talk to Michael Fry since…oh, I dunno…1995 when I first saw “Over the Hedge” in the NY Daily News and knew it was destined to be one of the greats. I love T. Lewis’ line work and character design, but the sharpness of the writing and the fun of the characters is what keeps you coming back for more. Michael talks about his 538 different syndicated comics (well, 5, but still…), the experiences he had making the Dreamworks film of his comic strip, and his foray into the world of web animation through the wonderful Ringtales, which is bringing comics like “Pearls Before Swine,” “Cul de Sac,” and hundreds of New Yorker Magazine cartoons to life.

  1. Tom does fantastic interviews and always get guests who are not only interesting in what they do, but are into current media such as using the web and mobiles for growing their business and showing their work…yet again a great interview and choice…I love ‘Over the Hedge’ and all the ringtales stuff…
