Danish court upholds guilty verdict for Westergaard attacker
Skip to commentsA Danish appeals court has upheld the guilty verdict of Mohamed Geele who allegedly attempted to murder Kurt Westergaard in his home with an axe on New Years Day 2010. He was sentenced to 9 years in prison, a $2,000 fine and expulsion from Denmark when his sentence is over. Both the prosecution and defense had appealed the original ruling – the defense wanting to reduce the sentence by three years, the prosecution wanting to extend it another three.
