Last night was the 2011 Reuben Award and division award. Richard Thompson took home the top honor of Cartoonist Of The Year for his feature, Cul de Sac. The other two nominees were: Glen Keane and Stephan Pastis.

Don’t forget that Lucy Shelton Caswell, who recently stepped down as curator of the Ohio State Cartoon Research Library after 33 years, was awarded the Silver T-Square for outstanding service to the profession.
Also that R. O. Blechman received the Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award because of his “lifetime of outstanding and accomplished work”.
And finally that Roy Doty joined a dozen other cartoonists in the NCS Hall of Fame when he was presented with the Gold Key Award.
