Wimpy Kid rules at box office

The second installment in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie franchise took top billing at the box office this last weekend taking in $24.4 million – beating the original Wimpy Kid movie by $2 million.

Other comic/animated related films still in the top 10 include Rango (#5) and Mars Needs Moms! (#10)

I saw this over the weekend with my nine and ten year olds. They laughed the whole time. It’s not as bad as the reviewers say it is. It’s just a silly kid movie.
