UN will investigate missing Sri Lankan cartoonist

I reported yesterday that five media organizations have appealed to the United Nations asking the body for assistance in finding a missing Sri Lankan cartoonist/columnist who disappeared over a year ago. A UN spokesperson has acknowledged receiving the request and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights will investigate and report back to the UN Secretary General how to best handle the case.
