DreamWorks Animation schedule reveals 9 films by 2014

DreamWorks Animation will release two feature films each year between now and 2014 – except 2013 when they will release three. Here are titles with the scheduled date.

Kung Fu Panda 2 – May 26, 2011
Puss In Boots – November 4, 2011
Madagascar 3 – June 8, 2012
Rise of the Guardians – November 21, 2012
The Croods – March 1, 2013
Turbo – June 7, 2013
Me and My Shadow – November 8, 2013
Mr. Peabody & Sherman – March 21, 2014
How to Train Your Dragon 2 – June 20, 2014

  1. out of those 9 movies only 3 of them are original (as near as I can tell). Though I guess I could include the Peabody and Sherman film, since they haven’t had a movie yet. I am concerned about the amount of movies that are coming out. I’d rather they spent time making a few good films, then producing a ton of films.

  2. Unfortunately, sequels are the rule of the day. If it made money once, it’ll make money again, the studios think. And sadly, they’re often right, even if the quality of the movie stinks.

    They used to do live action movie sequels and series in the old days, but not animated ones. Disney’s “Cinderella 2”, anyone?
