Evil, Inc turns 11; Cul de Sac turns 7

A couple more milestone to report. Gary Tyrrell reports over on Fleen that Brad Guigar’s Evil, Inc is now in it’s 11th year.

Richard Thompson reports that his Cul de Sac feature is seven years old now
. It first launched as a weekly feature in the Washington Post on Valentines Day in 2004. The feature went into daily syndication in 2007.

  1. And boy do we hope it’ll run for (at least) another seven. One of the truly wonderful comics in newspapers by one of the truly wonderful cartoonists drawing comics.

  2. CUL DE SAC is simply an amazing comic strip. Richard’s writing is outstanding and his artwork blows away just about everything else on the page…perfect combination of the two. He is so natural it Is depressing for someone who has to compete for the same space. Many, many more years to the man…hopefully newspapers will stick around too.

  3. Very rare for a cartoonist to have superior drawing chops and writing skills to match. Richard sure does. I read his strip and then stare at it for another five minutes, just to absorb and appreciate his beautiful artwork!
    Congrats Brad! It was a pleasure meeting you at SD Comic Con a few years back!
