Apple and News Corp to release The Daily on Feb 2

Loop Sight reports that invitations have been sent out to journalists to cover the announcement of the iPad only newspaper The Daily. The Daily is funded by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. The event and announcement is scheduled for February 2. CEO Rupert Murdoch will join Apple VP Eddy Cue. Earlier reports had Steve Jobs attending the announcement, but he has since take a leave of absence from Apple for medical reasons.
