Festival of Cartoon Art

Festival of Cartoon Art sold out

The tri-annual Festival of Cartoon Art hosted by the Ohio State University’s Cartoon Library and Museum is sold out according to this year’s organizer Jenny Robb. The festival begins this Thursday and runs through Sunday. Featured speakers this year include: Steve Breen, Brendan Burford, Roz Chast, Tony Cochran, Jan Eliot, Tom Gammill, Matt Groening, Bill Griffith, Dave Kellett, Paul Levitz, Patrick McDonnell, Dan Piraro, Jen Sorensen, Art Spiegelman, James Sturm, Michael Tisserand and Gene Luen Yang.

As a side note, I’ll be there covering the event through twitter and the blog Friday through Sunday. Check back to the blog often for updates.

  1. I’m leaving tomorrow. Should be a blast. 🙂

  2. Guaranteed good time, Andrew. Look fwd to meeting you.

  3. Hey, Frank:

I’m heading that way tomorrow with another Nebraska cartoonist buddy. See you in the hotel bar Thursday afternoon!

  4. Paul – will be riding in with Sandra Bell-Lundy and the inimitable Mike Cope. Should get there mid-afternoon ourselves. One American and two Canadians in a car driving to Columbus. Is there a joke here?

  5. @Frank … So long as the joke doesn’t involve a flat tire, I’ll laugh 🙂
