Congrats go out to Steve Moore today. His feature, In The Bleachers, is celebrating its 15th year in syndication. Steve has had an odd journey into cartooning. He started out in newspapers as a journalist and editor. He came up with In the Bleachers while working as an editor in the Maui News. He then went on to be an editor at the LA Times before concentrating full time on his comic. In 2006 he wrote the screen treatment and was the executive producer and co-creator of Open Season. He also wrote the screen treatment for Alpha and Omega, another CGI movie that will be released on September 17 of this month.
The Alpha and Omega trailer is below:
Congratulations, Steve!
Congratulations to Steve Moore! One of the good guys, who hasn’t been tainted by Hollywood success!
Have always liked “In the Bleachers”, and am happy for Steve’s success! Go long, man!
I didn’t know today marks 15 years of In The Bleachers.
In The Bleachers runs in the Chicago Sun-Times Sports BY THE NUMBERS page but sometimes the cartoon doesn’t appear due to lots of sports score space!
Congratulations to Steve Moore and In the Bleachers–having a daily comic syndicated is quite an accomplishment. Keeping it going for a decade and a half and maintaining the quality is an even greater one. Kudos!
Steve, your work continues to be fresh and funny. Keep up the great work!!!
Steve,
Have you published a book of your cartoons? I have family members who would love one!! Please send book ordering info if possible.
