Daddy’s Home to promote Gulf spill activism

This week’s Daddy’s Home story line takes the strips characters to the Gulf of Mexico to volunteer cleaning up the oil spill. Daddy’s Home creators Tony Rubino and Gary Markstein are using the story line to promote organizations involved in the clean up efforts. Each strip has a “How can you help?” box pointing readers to various organizations involved in the clean up. Tony tells me the featured organizers have been pleased with the publicity.

If you’re local paper doesn’t carry the strip, you can read the story line on gocomics.com.

  1. Nicely done. It’s hard to know how to handle such a sensitive (and depressing) issue. I also like the way Sherman’s Lagoon has been covering the spill.
