Baldo character vies for show on Oprah network

Baldo creators Carlos Castellanos or Hector Cantu have launched a campaign for their character Tia Carmen to get a show on Oprah’s soon to launch netowrk. A website and YouTube video have been created to get votes for the show.

From the press release:

“Oprah is looking for people with a big personality and a big dream, and Tia Carmen fits the bill,” said Baldo co-creator Carlos Castellanos.

“Now it’s up to the public to decide whether she gets her own talk show,” added Baldo co-creator Hector Cantu.

Voting runs through July 3.

  1. I’m guessing the animation came from the failed “Baldo” TV show from 10 years back. (basically they got 13 episodes for the show made, but the network backed out and no other channels wanted it)
