Comic strips Syndicates Universal Press

Brian Bassett moves Red and Rover to Universal

Brian Bassett’s Red and Rover has switched syndicates. The strip that was launched by the Washington Post Writers Group in 2000 is now a Universal Uclick feature. The announcement was made on GoComics.com. I noted that the legal fine print one each strip still states it’s distributed through Washington Post Writers Group. I’m told that Brian’s contract with WPWG runs through this Friday and the legal print will continue until then.

Red and Rover was nominated for the National Cartoonist Society’s Divsion award for Comic Strip of the Year in 2004.

Brian’s other strip Adam@Home is currently syndicated through Universal as well.

  1. Just want to say that I ejoy you Red & Rover very much, especially the one with the dog whistle. You hit that one right on the head. I laughed so hard the tears ran down my leg. Keep up the good work. Stan
