After posting the same comment on several pages, it’s clear he’s not engaging in the conversation but spewing his bad feelings about a working relationship with other cartoonists into a public forum. Since his claims cannot be substantiated and only serve to injure the reputation of others, I’ve pulled. it.
Derek,
Are you saying you are a comic strip writer for some established strips? I really can’t tell because your paragraphs appear to be written by a chimpanzee.

Steve, I did want to thank you for recommending selling my Apple stock at 240 a few weeks ago. 😉
Say what?
Making a joke about your Speculation to sell apple stock after the launch of ipad. It was at 240 that day it’s at 266 today after unbelievable earnings report.
Funny how everybody besides Yoda sounds like an idiot when they talk that way.
Gee, sorry Mike, I was just lashing out at Apple for their iphone operating system which doesn’t support Flash, among other things, as I work in Flash 40 hours per week……
Taking financial advice from a cartoonist on a cartooning forum is tantamount to having your wisdom teeth pulled by a taxidermist. ( I hear phones with cords attached to walls might be the next big thing)
Steve, like I said, I was making a joke out of it. The market is impossible to predict.
Derek,
I can’t judge the validity of the contents of your recent comments, but using this blog to make such allegations is not inappropriate. If you’re unhappy with the arrangements with the creators you work with, please work with them toward a resolution.

Really?
Really.

It’s unfortunate you didn’t extend the same courtesy to Mike Lester when you decided to post his personal business that was completely unrelated to cartooning on this very same board a few months back.
Thank god someone is finally standing up for Mike Lester who was a victim of– oh wait, perpetrator… never mind.
I wondered if people were still sore about Alan posting the Mike Lester story.
I wonder no more.
I have noticed that many cartoonists–especially Mr. Lester–have completely disappeared from this forum since around that time, so you could be right, Stephen.
