Howard Tayler nominated for Hugo Award

The 2009 Hugo Awards nominations are out for excellence in the field of science fiction and fantasy. Howard Tayler, creator of the successful webcomic Schlock Mercenary, has been nominated in the category of Best Graphic Story. The other nominees include:

  1. My favorite for the win is Phil and Kaja Foglio’s “Girl Genius” book. They’re good friends, and I love their writing and illustration style.

  2. Congratulations are still in order, Howard. The recognition alone is good news. I’m pleased to see independents nominated alongside publishing houses.
