Comic strips

Comic changes for the week

» The Gazette (Cedar Rapid, IA) is bringing back Get Fuzzy and Pearls Before Swine. In an ironic turn of events, the two strip that were cut are making a return because the paper is moving to a smaller page width. As the editor explains, as you reduce all 20 or so comics on the page, it opens up space, so starting in May GF and PBS return. Watch for letters to the editor that first week with complaints that all the comics are illegible.

» The Washington Post appears not to have cut enough comics. The previous announcement slated five comics to get the axe come March 30. Additionally Pooche Cafe will now also be out.

  1. phew! I’d rather Pooch Cafe get the axe as long as Brevity stays.
