Stacy Curtis’ seventh book that he’s illustrated that has been released this year is hitting bookshelves. This latest book, “The 7 Habits for Happy Kids”, is written by Sean Covey, son of Stephen R. Covey and contains over 150 illustrations. You can see some of the artwork over on Stacy’s blog and you can see a full list of the books he’s illustrated on his web site.
Stacy is one of those success stories for life after an editorial cartoonist. He was laid off from the Times of Northwest Indiana in the spring of 2006, and by June of that year had signed with Shannon Associates (one of the top illustration reps) to represent him. He’s been cranking out books ever since.
Congratulations Stacy.
Updated: The book was discussed on the CBS Early morning show. Here’s the video:
Congrats, Stacy! You’ve got tons of talent. That’s a great looking website, you’ve got. Keep up the good work!
Looking good! Congratulations! Isn’t that stuff a lot more fun than editorial cartooning anyway?
Thanks, Jason and Einar. I appreciate it!
Einar, I sometimes miss editorial cartooning, especially in these times, but I have to say I love having more relaxing deadlines and the opportunity to create big pieces of art.
