The Yankton Press & Dakotan went looking to replace two strips and decided to pick up four instead. New strips include Baby Blues, Mother Goose and Grimm, Dick Tracy, and Bizarro. Leaving the paper due to high negatives in a recent poll include Dilbert and Rubes.
Tundra and MyCage are now in the Honolulu Star Bulletin. They took the space of outgoing PreTeena and another local feature that was moved to another section of the paper.
The Journal Gazette and Times-Courier is adding Baby Blues and Tundra and dropping Rose is Rose and Peanuts. Additionally, the paper has dropped both Doonesbury and Mallard Fillmore which used to run on their editorial page.
The recently launched The Knight Life has been picked up by the Times Union in Albany NY and the Boston Herald.
The afore mentioned Times Tribune has also picked up Lio to take the place of Hagar the Horrible.
The News Observer continues to run three guest comics at a time. This next trio includes The Amazing Spider-Man, Deflocked, and The Brilliant Mind of Edison Lee.
