Three new animation movies set for this summer

There are three big animated motion pictures due out this summer. “Kung Fu Panda”, “Wall-E” and “Igor.” If they live up to their premises and the trailers, we’re in for some great entertainment.

“Kung Fu Panda” is the first on to hit the screen on June 6th. Panda features Jack Black, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman, Luci Lui, and Angolina Jolie.

Pixar, the nine hundred pound gorilla of animation, is releasing Wall-E on June 27. In the movie Wall-E is left behind on earth after all the humans leave, but is discovered by Eve sent to back to earth after 700 years to determine if the planet is safe to return to. The movie features the voice talent of Sigourney Weaver, John Ratzenberger, Kathy Najimy, Fred Willard, Shelby Forthright and Jeff Garlin.

MGM is rolling out a Frankenstein movie entitled “Igor” about a mad scientist’s assistant with aspirations of inventions as well. The movie features John Cusack stars as Igor with Steve Buscemi, Jay Leno, John Cleese and Molly Shannon as supporting voice talent. It comes out September 19.
