2007 was the year we saw perhaps the most comic characters die (at least temporarily). Only 7 weeks into the new year, we’ve got our first 2008 death announcement.
Tony Carrillo, creator of F Minus, has announced on this blog that “that one of his characters will be ‘killed off’ next week.” He later mentions that “the ultimate goal of my comic strip is to bring attention to important issues, and that includes the danger of oversized hats.”
Somehow methinks this death will pale compared to the impact of Lisa Moore’s death.
Another cartoon character dying??? Um, these are called the ‘funny pages’, right?
“2007 was the year we saw perhaps the most comic characters die”
Meanwhile ol’ Walt Wallet keeps on going & going & going..
Me thinks it’s a joke on killing comic strip characters, as F-Minus doesn’t have any continuing characters.
“Um, these are called the â??funny pagesâ??, right?”
Perhaps Tony Carrillo WILL make it funny, just as Scott Adams did with Dilbert.
I prefer the “Frog Applause” euphemism:
negative comic strip character outcome

I’m all for an entertaining death scene involving hats.
LOL, Classic. Can’t wait to read it Tony!
Which day next week?
