San Diego cartoonist Lucas Turnbloom took home a few awards at this year’s San Diego chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists awards banquette this last week. Lucas was awarded 1st place in magazine illustration and honorable mention, 2nd and 1st place in the Original Drawing or Illustration category. Judges remarked his entries had a “nice colorful, humorous style.”
