Harvey Award nominees announced
Skip to commentsThe 2007 Harvey Award Nominees have been announced and several newspaper cartoonists are among the nominees. Bizarro creator, Dan Piraro, is up for two awards: Best Cartoonist and a Special Award for Humor in comics. Competing in the category of Best Syndicated Strip or Panel includes Doonesbury by Garry Trudeau, Mutts by Patrick McDonnell, The K Chronicles by Keith Knight, Maakies by Tony Millionaire and Antiques: The Comic Strip by J.C. Vaughn, Brendan Fraim & Brian Fraim
Also of note, Brian Fies who created Mom’s Cancer is up for three awards: Best Artist, Best Cover Artist and Best Single Issue or Story.
The voting ends August 3rd and the final results will be announced at this year’s Baltimore Comic-Con that runs September 8 and 9th.
