Small change to The Daily Cartoonist

I rarely visit my blog. Sounds weird, but I usually post all my stuff through the admin interface or another blogging application and I review all comments through my email account, so really, it’s rare that I stop by my own blog. I noticed today that with the current setting of displaying the last 7 days on the homepage is making for a longer download time for the page. In an effort to make the site snappier, I’ve cut that down to only display the last 3 days. If you’re a once-a-weeker, you’ll have to pick up the pace a bit or perhaps subscribe via RSS (see icons at top of homepage). Looking at the stats, most of you are daily visitors, so you won’t be impacted much.

If you have any other suggestions for improving the blog, please drop me an   email or leave a comment. I’m always interested in your feedback.

  1. Before I discovered the joy of RSS I was a once- every-other-weeker. Or a once-in-a-great-while-when-I-remembered-to-stop-by-after-being-really-busy… -er.

But anyway, to anyone not on the RSS bandwagon, I second Alan’s “subscribe via RSS” suggestion. It makes it way easier to sort through the topics that interest you… as well as those that don’t. And any site loading lags are virtually non-existent. The only downside is sometimes the RSS doesn’t update until a while after the post is displayed here.
