  1. what about the comic “the piranah club” by bud grace and WONDERWORD by david quellet ?

  2. These are some of my favorite comic strips that have been dropped: B. C., Marmaduke, Mother Goose and Grim, Red and Rover, For Better or For Worse, Hagar, Mark Trail, and Wizard of Id. I have been a faithful reader of your paper for many years. The comics are what I read more of than the rest of the paper. I tried to locate the website dallasnews.com/comicsvote but was unsuccessful. It would be nice if you could reconsider bringing back most of my favorite comic strips. I am not impressed with any of the four “favorite” comic strips.

    Thank you for your consideration,

    Joy Dunaway

  3. What happened to another of my favorites, “Mark Trail”? You are slowly re-moving all the favorites I have had in the past. Soon I will no longer be reading anything. Period. I do not like any of the silly new ones you are adding. They have no substance to them. “Wonderword” was also missing from this mornings paper. I have been doing it for years. Why is it being dropped? Charlotte

  4. Couldn’t find voting for comics. my favs are Marmaduke, Mark Trail,
Blondie, For Better or For Worse
Crankshaft etc. Hope some of these will come back.
    Thank you

  5. Please return Mark Trail and For Better or For Worse, as I have read them for years, and the new substitute ones lack substance.
Soon I will not have any to read in your progressively more and more liberal paper.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond.
    Winna Henry

  6. Don’t leave out:
    Mark Trail
    Peanuts
    Blondie
    Sally Forth
    Zits
    Crankshaft
    Mother Goose & Grimm
    Luann
    Judge Parker
    Funky Winkerbean
    Dennis The Menace
    Family Circus
    Marmaduke
    B.C.
    Hagar
and any others that have lasted 40 years. I could not the web
site that allows a vote by Oct. 15th. Thank You

  7. Marmaduke-Mark Trail- Judge Parker- Crankshaft- Sally Forth- Funky Winkerbean Luann- Zits- Peanuts- Blondie
My children/grandchildren have grown up with these comics, relate to so many of the stories. Being a subscriber over the years ( age-over 75)The daily news is not always a bright point in the day, these comic strips lighten the day with a smile Please keep them going– Thank you

Cannot get to the Web that would let me vote–Is that saying something to your readers..
Paying $228.00 yearly for the paper should give us some say–one would think

  8. B.C. is the best. Marmaduke, Blondie, and Crankshaft are also favorites, as is Wizard of OZ. The new Argyle one is a little wierd.

  9. Please bring back Red and Rover, it always makes me smile. Put Red and Rover in place of Judge Parker!
    Thank you.

  10. I thoroughly enjoyed B. C., Cathy, Marmaduke and The Wizard of Id. You have definitely cut into my morning’s enjoyment with their cancellation.

I’m also very unhappy about the abrupt dismissal of your daily
Bridge column. I hope I’m not the only Dallasite to complain
about this, because I can’t bring the column back all by myself. And I do want it back, with every fiber of my eighty-three-year-old being.

    Thank you.

  11. First one I go to every morning
    is MARMADUKE my favorite
as well as every one here at work
Since I have a Great Dane
    His name is Joker
We can all relate to our favorite cartoon
    Marmaduke
    Please bring him back

  12. What happened to Mark Trail and For Better or Worse and Peanuts? I have followed the story lines for years and want them back!
if you need space you might consider dropping Zits, Sherman’s Lagoon, Curtis, Shoe or Pearls Before Swine to make room.

Being a subscriber of over 75 years, I have followed the comics and the inclusion of problems incurring in today’s world. As a retired educator, Crankshaft and Funky Winderbean really reflect the educational world.

    Thank you.

  13. Please return the Word Find, as I use this and the two crossword puzzles to get my brain in gear for the day.

    Thanks.

  14. I deeply regret the abrupt dismissal of B. C., Cathy, Marmaduke and The Wizard of Id. They weren’t even given a chance to defend themselves. Please bring ’em back!

I;m also unhappy about the loss of the Bridge column. My eighty-three-year-old brain needed the discipline of working the Bridge hands out, on a daily basis. I hope mine is not the only Dallas voice you’ll hear on this matter.

    Sincerely,

    Morton Cahn

  15. Please return Marmaduke and the bridge column. Also, I loved the word finder- took my mind off everything. Very relaxing.

    Thank you, Jean Woodward

  16. Please return Marmaduke, the bridge column and the word finder.

    Thank you, Jean Woodward

  17. Please bring back Mark Trail, B.C., Marmaduke, and Wizard of Id. Also, Who’s bright idea was it to scatter the classified ads? Your paper did not need this “Improvement”

  18. I would like to have the WONDERWORD every day and not just one day. This puzzle is something I do every day, it helps keep my mind motivated.

  19. My Wife and I have been reading your paper for some time, we would like the paper to continue with the same forum as before, but at least bring back;
    Hagar the Horible
    Wizard of Id
    Cathy
    Family Circus
    Marmaduke
Plus the ones shown in the tuesday paper, we miss the above.

  20. Please add For Better or Worse back. I have read this for years and would be very upset if I could not enjoy the trials and tribulations that go on in their lives. It is such a parallel of my life and I would miss it terribly. Please add it back.

  21. I do not see the necessity to keep moving the comics and puzzle page. Please find a spot and keep it. Also i would love to be able to continue to read Mark Trail, BC, and The Wizard of ID, as I have for many, many years.

  22. My favorite comic is gone. “MARMADUKE!”
Please bring him back for my daily laugh.
    Thanks.

  23. Just put the comics back like they were. But, if you have to drop something drop Lio, Over the Hedge, Argyle Sweater, Ballard Street, Non Sequitur, Perls Before Swine, Get Fuzzy, and Bizarro. Get us something like Snuffy Smith and Beetle Baily.
Keep Mark Trail. How about giving us a vote on the whole section?
And in closing, put Doonesbury back on the Editorial page where it belongs!

  24. please return the following comic strips:
    wizard of id
    red and rover
    piranha club
    over the hedge
    mark trail
    hagar
    for better or worse
    drabble
    BC
is this a cost saving measure of you just seeing if people are paying attention to the strips?

  25. Please return:BC and Wizard of ID.
Many of your readers enjoyed these two comics
    on a daily basis!

  26. I LOVED lio 1st time I read it. It(lio) took me back to my own prankish childhood.Even the unrequited Love of a socially different kind of girl. Also Mark Trail makes my Father very happy. I understand though about John Hart, and Charles Schulz. In closing I agree with Mr. Roberts doonesbury, and yes, it would seem, that even now my onetime favorite get fuzzy, sometimes pushes politics into an improper forum. Let us keep the funny pages funny. keep Lio. keep Wizard of Id and so many of the other family oriented types. Hey heres a thought thank goodness for innocence.

  28. Bring back B.C and the Wizard of Id. They are the only two of five that I read. And if you do this again, print a web site to vote on that works. The one you list is totally useless and impossible to reach any window remotely concerned with voting for comics. The comments already printed on this page indicate I am not the only one with this problem.

  29. You have really messed up my routine morning!
I don’t like ANY of the changes. Please put everything back the same way it was. Keep the comics and puzzles separate from the Guide! You have made this 80 year old VERY unhappy!!! Like so many of the above I could not find the “comicsvote” site. I tried it yesterday and today also!!!

  30. Could not find the vote site either. Sent a comment to DMN through their web site. Plugger & Pickles are the best, but would like to see a list of what was dropped. The “New Comics” layout is bad as well. Was the daily “Bridge” hand section dropped as well, or was the layout so bad I could not find it ?

  31. Tried to find the vote site, but it does not exhist. Pickles, Blondie,Baldo and Plugger are the best, but I have read them ALL almost everyday over the last 30 years. Do not like the new comic layout either. Was the “Bridge” Hand also dropped or was the layout so bad I could not find it? So many changes over the last 3-5 years and none have been good. Bring back the old version or at least “The Times Herald”

  32. The following is a list of the comic strips that I would like for the News to retain.
Baby Blues, B.C., Blondie, CrankshAFT, Dilbert, Drabble, Funky Winkerbean, Garfield, Hagar, Judge Parker, Luann, Mark Trail, Mother Goose and Grimm, Non Sequitor, One Big Happy, The Other Coast, Over The Hedge, Peanuts, Pearls Before Swine, Pickles, Sally Forth, Sherman Lagoon, Wizard of Id, Zits.—-Cartoons to keep: Marmaduke, Dennis, Bleacher, Pluggers and Family Circus. Thank You.

  33. Can not find the vote site either and got really frustrated. Bad PR move on DMN. Favorotes are Pickles, Plugger, Blondie & Baldo but have read them all almost everyday for the last 35 years. Don’t like the new comics layout either. Also is the daily “Bridge Hand” mising or is the layout so bad that I just could not find it ?
Perhaps we should petition to get “Dallas Times Herald” started here again.

  34. Really miss B.C, Hagar, Wizard of Id & Marmaduke – they make me laugh out laud and not a lot does right.
    Please bring them back!

  35. I could not find the vote site. On the comics, please keep all of the old ones, especially Mark Trail, Blondie, Crankshaft, BC, Hagar, Wizard of ID,Judge Parker, B.C., Blondie, Dilbert, Drabble, Funky Winkerbean, Garfield, Judge Parker, Luann, Mark Trail, Non Sequitor, One Big Happy, Pickles, Sally Forth, Sherman Lagoon, Wizard of Id.

  36. We want to be able to see –For better or worse back in the comic section ASAP—Thanks—Barry and Gayle Wyld!

  37. Whoever re-formated the comics section should be fired. This person could undoutably mess up a one car funeral. I would like to see B.C., Hagar, Marmaduke, Wizard of Id, Crankshaft, Mother Goose and Grim and Plugger put back please.

  38. First I’ll give you a list of comics to ditch: Baldo, The Argyle Sweater, Family Circus, Curtis, Doonesbury, Funky Winkerbean, Heart of the City, Judge Parker, Luann, Rose is Rose,Sally Forth, Zits, Love Is, Pluggers. Keep or re-insert; Over the Hedge, BC, Wizard of Id, Pirana Club, Pearls Before Swine. Thank you, Matt Kersten

  39. This is in response to your “Vote back your favorite comic!”

You have deleted some of the very best. Please bring back Mark Trail, Marmaduke, Blondie, Peanuts, Dennis.

You may be trying to appeal to the younger set but they are not the ones reading your paper—they read mostly the internet. It is primarily the more mature people who read the newspaper. That needs to influence your decisions.

  40. Our mornings are not the same anymore, One of
us reads the guide section and the other one
the comics and two puzzles, now it’s together. Senior citizens are the people who
buy and read your paper, why change it?
Bring back B.C.,Piranha Club, Red and Rover
and the comic section as it was.
    Thank You

buy and read your paper, why change it?
Bring back B.C.,Piranha Club, Red and Rover
and the comic section as it was.
    THANKS

  42. I don’t like the change at all. I prefer the puzzle page in a section by itself – much easier to work and handle. Also please consider bringing back the cryptogram. I also had trouble finding the voting page.

  43. Please return Hagar and Wizard of Id and

Quit messing with the puzzle section.

  44. Please bring back Mark Trail……….I note many of your subscribers are requesting it also…

  45. Rose is Rose is one of my favorite stips so please bring it back. It is so heartening to read about a happy loving family. Also please bring back Red and Rover and Marmaduke. Also please revive Mark Trail. My day starts with a chuckle at my favorite comice. A great way to start a busy day.

  46. Please bring back Marmaduke,Red & Rover, Mark Trail
Ithink Argyle Sweater in place of Marmaduke is pretty bad
    Thank you Nancy Dorrer

  47. 50 years DMN has had the best comics. Please return ForBetter or for Worse, Hagar, BC, Mark Trail, Wizard of ID, and Red & Rover. Marmaduke you must return.
I like Over the Hedge and In the Bleachers better than Argyle Sweater.Piranha Club, Lio, Drabble and the Other Coast probably need to be retired.

Loved the color, but know the expense.
Hagar and Marmaduke will get you if you don’t put ’em back.

  48. My day can’t get started until I read The Wizard of id and B.C. Don’t eliminate those two. I’m sure I’m not the only fan of the only “adult” strips in your comics section.

  49. I would like to see the wizard of ID,Hagar ,BC ,beetles baily and the word wonder puzzle returned to the comic section.

  50. please put back on wonder puzzle;b.c. drabble marmaduke hagger and plugger and i willkeep taking the paper ok thank you

  51. I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED MARK TRAIL. PLEASE PUT IT BACK. THE WILDLIFE CONSERVATION STORY IS EXCELANT ALSO DOWN ON THE FARM THANKS FOR THE CHANCE TO VOTE. I ALSO VOTE FOR DRABBLE.HE IS A LAUGHABLE,BUT FUNNY JERK. THANKS,JACK

  52. Please bring back Mark Trail, I don’t know if the alligator ate the girl! Also i am really getting sick of Gary Trudeau and Doonesbury. “Comics”
are no place for his Politics! He is a liberal moron! Also I don’t like the marathon wonderword on sunday Tsk TSk. My husband keeps threatening to get the Star-Telegram and he only reads the sports and the obits. Carol

  53. Please put BC and Wizard of Id back in the comic strips. If they are not put in the Dallas Morning News comic section, then I will cancel my subscription!
The Dallas Morning News continous to get worse.

  54. PLEASE BRING BACK WONDER WORD — THIS IS
MY FAVORIET DAILY INTEREST -ALSO I ENJOY MARK TRAIL. I AM 80 YEARS OLD!!!!
    THANKS

  55. Please return Mark Trail to the commics section …. and while you are at it, what happened to the “find the word” puzzel?

  56. I also could’t find your voting site. I was asked:do you mean Dallas News.com/comics?, but still couldn’t get to your voting site. I also go to comics first when reading your newspaper.Forget For Better or Worse, Funky Winkerbean as these are not funny, but soap operas trying to be comics. Lio is just stupid. All the others are my favorites(the ones you deleted). The other one you kept in, like Juge Parker is also a Soap. Maybe you could eliminate Rose Is A Rose, but all the rest are funny.

  57. I would also like to see Beatle Bailey returned to your comics page.(I’m a retired Air Force vet-79 yrs old. At the very least,if you want to keep your readers happy, you could return to what you had before-seperate comics/puzzles, etc.-but no Lio or Argyle Sweater! The rest of the comics I could live with.

  58. I went back & read the other comments(should have doe this First!) I noticed others listed theit favorites, so here goes mine:BC,Cathy,Piranha Club,Red & Rover,Sally Forth,Sherman’s Lagoon, Pickles,Wizard of Id,Zits,Drabble,Hager,Heart of the City.Non Sequitor,One Big Happy,The Other Coast,Peanuts,Pearls Before Swine, Pluggers.Marmaduke,Dennis The Menace,Doonesbury,Dilbert,Garfield,Get Fuzzy,Luann,Mother Goose & Grim,Family Circus,Curtis,Baby Blues,Baldo,Bizarro,Blondie & Crankshaft.

  59. SOUNDS AS IF YOU’RE GOING TO CUT DOWN REGUARDLESS OF WHAT THE READERS SAY. IF YOU MUST DO THIS THEN PLEAS LIST THE ENTIRE GROUP AND PERMIT THE READERS TO PICK THE NUMBER FROM THAT GROUP THAT THEY PREFER. THERE ARE MANY THAT COULD EASILY GO–LET US DECIDE WHO GOES AND WHO STAYS.

  60. Please stop printing LIO and get psychiatric help for the cartoonist. I will be happy to contribute for his treatment.

  61. Has your paper decided to go CHEAP? You have taken out the best of the best and kept the worst. I think because the cartoonist are the cheapest ones. Also the Sunday paper has deleted the kid’s Crossword puzzle that my granddaughter loved to work. What happened to the LARGE Crossword in the paper on Saturdays? AND PLEASE seperate “The Guide” from the Funnies so they can be read seperatly. Thanks for messing up my paper!!!!

  62. HOW COU;D YOU DROP HAGAR FROM YOUR COMIC SECTION—SHAME ON YOU——–SAME FOR DROPPING MARK TRAIL—–I ALMOST FEEL LIKE DROPPING MY SUBSCRIPTION TO THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS NOT HAVING THEM ON DAILY BASIS

  63. HOW COU;D YOU DROP HAGAR FROM YOUR COMIC SECTION—SHAME ON YOU——–SAME FOR DROPPING MARK TRAIL—–I ALMOST FEEL LIKE DROPPING MY SUBSCRIPTION TO THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS NOT HAVING THEM ON DAILY BASIS

  64. Please return For Better Or Worse.
I looked forward to reading it every morning.

    Alma Melendez

  65. Dallas Morning News has about reached its limits with me. This morning, my favorite crossword puzzle (the large on that comes only on Saturday) was deleted. Also, I noticed the word puzzle is gone as well as the bridge article. SHAME, SHAME!

If these are not reinstated, then I will cancel my subscription to the DMN as it will not be fun any more.

    Thank you,

    Dede W. Casad

    w

  66. I vote with #2 and #6. Please drop the news ones YOU added and reinstate the ones YOU dropped, including WONDERWORD. Also, please restore to the former form instead of scattering it as you now have it. Thank you, Suzanne Dees

  67. Bring back Red +Rover, Marmaduke,B. C., Mark Trail and FRED.

I really liked the improvement you made the last time. I thought that having colored funnies during the week made the Dallas Morning News unique.

Rather than arbitraily dropping certain strips, why don’t youlist the ones available and state how many your budget allows.

Do you relly save that much by dropping a strip?

  68. Please bring back Red and Rover; Fred; and Marmaduke. It is sad you dropped any comics at all. Bring back the color. And please…..quit messing with the format of the paper!

  69. Please bring back for Better or Worse, Marmaduke and the word Search puzzle.
Why did you have to cut all of the comics?

  70. B. C. and the Wizard of Id and Marmaduke and Pickels were my favorites that I read every day, even if I didn’t have time to read the others. It is too bad that as soon as Parker and Hart died you droped their cartoon strips. Blondie is an oldie and is still enjoyable. Please put these back in the paper or lots of people will be cancelling their subscriptions, according to what they have written on this web site.

Please put these back in the paper or lots of people will be cancelling their subscriptions, according to what they have written on this web site.

  72. I’ve been reading Mark Trail since I was a kid, please bring it
back. And why take the big Saturday crossword away,
    please bring it back.

  73. Like Bob Pedigo, I have been reading Mark Trail for over 50 years and would love to have it back. If this is not an option, I vote for the Wizard of Id. Also, I discovered yesterday that the big Saturday crossword puzzle had been deleted. It is the most challenging of the week. Drop the Commuter Puzzle on Saturday if you must chose. Don’t dumb down the paper.

    Tom Newsome

  74. Your voting website is not to be found so hopefully this is it. Would you please quit messing with the comics and give us back what we want and enjoy, such as For Better or Worse, Mark Trail, Cathy, B.C.,Red and Rover, Hi and Lois. I’m missing the big crossword on Sat. and I hate what you are doing to my (used to be) favorite newspaper !!!!

I’m missing the big crossword on Sat. and I hate what you are doing to my (used to be) favorite newspaper !!!!

  76. Please bring back Drabble and Mark Trail and please do not drop Crankshaft. Thanks for bringing Wonderword back. And please stop messing with the paper, changing things, etc.

  77. Please bring back Drabble and Mark Trail. Thanks for bringing back Wonderword. But please quit messing around with the comics.

  78. Your deletion of favorite comics has been a blow. Where is B.C? And the large crossword puzzle on Saturday? My husband really enjoyed Mark Trail. How about rethinking your changes? Especially B.C. who is an institution and has been for years. These changes are not for the best.

  79. You have dropped some of our favorites. For Better or For Worse is one we always liked. Also Red and Rover, Hagar, Mark Trail, Hi and Loi, Cathy, B C are also some of our favorites. Why are you dropping them???

    Nancy and Stewart Brown

  80. I MISS DRABBLE AND FOR BETTER OR WORSE – I ENJOY THEM SO MUCH. THANKS FOR RETURNING WONDER WORD. RUTH RICHARDSON

  81. My husband reads your paper every morning when he first gets up. We enjoy the comics especially blondie, crankshaft, dennis and marmaduke and I read Hints From Heloise. You do not have Heloise anymore, that,s not good.
Would you please bring her back.
Also Lone Ranger, Spiderman. Thank you

  82. YOU HAVE MESSED UP AGAIN. GET RID OF THE NEW COMICS AND BRING BACK THE OLD ONES. YOU DO NEED TO GET RID OF DOONESBURY OR MOVE IT THE THE EDITORAL SECTION AS COMICS ARE TO MAKE YOU LAUGH AND GIVE YOU A BUNCH OF POLITICAL JUNK

  83. I couldn’t find TDMN web site where we needed to vote on the comics. I found this site through Google. I would like you to bring back Bridge, Red and Rover, For Better or Worse, Wizard of ID, Blondie, Crankshaft, Peanuts, Sally Forth, Dennis the Menace, Family Circus, B.C., Snuffy Smith and Beatle Baily. You may drop Piranha Club, Brevity, Lio, Over the Hedge, Prickly City, Zits, Argyle Sweater, Ballard Streey, Non Sequiture, Pearls Before Swine, GEt Fuzzy, Bizzarro, Drabble, Pickles and Plugger.

    George Perry
    Dallas

  84. I can’t believe we don’t have B.C., For Better or Worse, Red & Rover, or Marmaduke anymore. They were our morning staples. We also found the Piranha club ridiculously
funny. Drabble and The Wizard of Id were
read regularly. Please bring all of these
    back .Thank you.

  85. put the comics and puzzle page back the way it was-your new and improved will cause me to no longer pay for something we get no enjoyment from.and my wife is mad about the omission of mark trail and red and rover !!!!

  86. Your comics have lost my interest without:
    BC
    Wizard of Id
    Hagar
    For Better or For Worse
    Mark Trail
    Please return them!

  87. I have tried daily to log onto your comicsvote, to no avail. We would like to keep (1) For Better or for Worse; (2) Hagar; (3) B.C.; (4) The Wizard of Id” (5) Cathy; (6) Red and Rover’.
I am still upset that you discontinued Jump Start, which was one of my favorites.

The ones we would like to see go are; Get Fuzzy, Dilbert, Doonesbury, which is nothing but a political agenda.., Bizarro, Pearls before Swine, and Mother Goose and Grime.

If you had to drop some comics for monetary reasons, you should have had a month long poll of readers with either mail in votes or a legitimate email site where voting could be made.

  88. This is my second attempt to send a comment. I have tried all week to get on your comics vote site, to no avail. Now you did not accept this letter.

We would like to see the following comics returned; (1) For Better or for Worse; (2) Hagar; (3) B.C.; (4) The wizard of Id; (5) Red and Rover.

We do not like to following (1) Doonsbury, which is nothing but a political commentary and should be on the oped page if kept. (2) Get Fuzzy; (3) Dilbert; (4) Bizarro; (5) Pearls before Swine; (6) Mother Goose and Grime.

We do not like the new Argyle Sweater !!

If you needed to drop comics for monetary reasons, you should have had a poll of readers before hand and gone from there.

  89. Your “poll” for comics is totally inadequate, and your attitude toward your readers/customers shows lack of concern. The personality of your paper has changed–if this is the 21st century version, I can’t say it’s for the best.
Could never find the “vote” area on your web site, however, I vote to keep:
    BC
    Wizard of Id
    Mark Trail
    Red & Rover
If it matters to you, I do not think much of your choices of the “new” comics.

34 year subscriber. Do I need to call the Star Telegram??

  90. please bring back mark trail, steve roper & mike nomad, b.c.,. wizard of ID, I grew up reading these and other classic comics, now you are replacing the decent ones with trash, please reconsider and bring back the classic comics (decent)

  91. please bring back mark trail, steve roper & mike nomad, b.c.,. wizard of ID, I grew up reading these and other classic comics, now you are replacing the decent ones with trash, please reconsider and bring back the classic comics (decent)

  92. Bring back Drabble,Marmaduke, BC,Wizard of Id and Hagar. I believe your new comic strips are dumb and boring. Also don’t even think of getting rid of Peanuts. I get achuckle every time I read it.

  93. THE ‘new” look is horrible. Today I cannot find the bridge column and the cryptoquote has been missing for two Sundays. Get rid of some of the advice columns and bring back Red & Rover. A reader for over 60 years, I am missing my friend, MY Dallas Morning News. Today’s paper says go to dallasnews.com/comicsvote and that page says voting closed. The arrangement of the comics is absurd.

  94. The Pyrana club and Marmaduke are my favorites. Pyrana club is now only printed on Sunday. I also miss the color as ity used to be.

  95. If you keep reducuing the contents of the paper ie the comics you have cut out I am going to reduce the number of subscribers you have by one. I want all aof the comics back, and in the old format, not that I think you actually listen to your subscribers, but maybe you’ll listen to the monetary loss.Ilooked for the area to vote for my favs, but your website is so confusing I couldn’t ever figure out where to vote!

  96. I am totally disappointed in DMN’s approach and lack of commitment to its readership. I vote for the continuation of B.C. in the comic section. And I do so in this section because, contrary to DMN’s instructions, there is no place to vote at the site “dallasnews.com/comicsvote”. Please continue B.C. in your comic strip and stop your stupid games. Also, put the comic strip back to its previous format. Thanks for your mass confusion.

  97. Lio wasn’t my favorite, but I looked forward to his daily antics. If you’ve ever had a child whose behavior was a source of anxiety, then you could relate to Lio’s weird stuff. My older son was full of so many ideas on how to have fun; jumping off the roof, experimenting with liquids, taking essential electronics and equipment apart. He’s 41 now, and has a son who follows in his childhood footprints.

  98. What happened to Mark Trail.
    Please bring it back because
it is my wife and my favorite
    comic strip.

    Thank you

    Lewis R. Thompson

  99. These are some of our favorite comic strips that have been dropped: B.C., Marmaduke, Mother Goose and Grim, Red and Rover, For Better or For Worse, Hagar, Mark Trail, and Wizard of Id. We have been faithful readers of your paper for many years. The comics and obituaries are what we read more of than the rest of the paper. We tried to locate the website dallasnews.com/comicsvote but was unsuccessful. It would be nice if you could reconsider bringing back most of our favorite comic strips. We am not impressed with any of the four â??favoriteâ? comic strips.

    Thank you for your consideration,

    George and Millie Shropulos

  100. Unable to get on your site, had to go through
    Google.
Please bring back: BC, Wizard of Id, Hagar,
Pickles, Pluggers, Marmaduke & Fred, Dennis,
Family Circus, Heloise, Kids Sunday Puzzle,&
    Big Saturday & Sunday puzzles.

It would also be nice to have the comics &
puzzles on the same pages as they were.
    Thanks,

  101. I can’t find any place to vote so hope this will get my choice
counted. I vote for “For Better or Worse.” (literally).

I agree with the suggestions to move Doonsbury…anywhere.

This world has enough negative things in it. We don’t need a
daily dose of “Get Fuzzy.” It is sick and and nasty…that’s all there is to it. Shame on you editors.

According to the Oxford American Dictionary, the definition of “comic” ie. “comics” is “causing laughter or amusement.
    I rest my case.

  102. We may have to drop the Dallas Morning News because our favorite item in the newspaper is the comics. How could you be so cheap to do this? Our favorite comics are For Better or For Worse; Mark Twain; and B.C.

    Thank you.

  103. We enjoy Mark Trail,B.C.,Red and Rover, and Over the Hedge. Question, why do you have to delete any of these and other good ones? Thanks

  104. There are places for political statements and opiniopns and they are NOT in the comic section.. I and I believe most people read the comics for fun and humor. I would also like to register the strongest possable complaint of the change to the format. It is terrorable. I am in agreeament with the large number of others that I have read their comments.I am so disapointed with what you have done that I am conseridering droping you’re paper. You have destroyed my morning pleasure. If these thing do not change I will have to consider another paper

  105. As you appear to have given us a bogus website, I will vote through this format..

    1. Red and Rover
    2. Marmaduke
    3. Ballard Street

These strips do what the comics were originally intended to do – they make me smile. They are funny, friendly, relevant, and often poignant.

The new format is dull – reminds me of the limited comic strip page of small town newspapers.

Also, would appreciate return of the commuter crossword puzzle.

  106. Folks, you may as well be writing letters to Santa Claus. This IS NOT THE DMN WEBSITE! Quit making posts as if it were. If you want to say something to the DMN, send them an e-mail or post on one of their forums.

  107. Please put Heloise’s column back in the comic section. I looked forward to reading it every day! Heloise is like an old friend and I miss her!

  108. you should bring back marmaduke!!! My familt love’s that dog it is something that has everyday life in it and you can see it happening to you that is what makes it os great!!!

  109. Please bring Mark Trail back. It had a great story line and was very well drawn. I really miss it – it was my very favorite!

  110. I’ve started buying the Star Telegram at work & taking the comics home to my wife. We subscribe to the News but we want to see the missing strips.

  111. Quit screwing with the comics. If you want to save money, fire the guy responsible for even considering the elimination of some of my favorite comics.

  112. Quit messing around with the comics. If you want to save money, fire the guy who wants to eliminate some of my favorite comics. Better still, I think I’ll cancel my subscription to DMN. I can get all the comics and news off the internet.

  113. YOU GOT THAT RIGHT BILLY SMITH PLUS THE PAPER EDITS OUT A PANEL FOR A SUNDAY STRIP NO SUCH PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET
