Brian Anderson is getting creative to promote his “Dog eat Doug” feature. According to his web site, he is giving away an original framed painting of his characters to one lucky individual who either emails the editor of their newspaper asking them to subscribe to Dog Eat Doug (if the paper doesn’t carry it) or thank the editor for running the feature (if the paper already susbscribes). To enter, participants must email the editor and cc Brian. The winner will be randomly selected at the end of this month and announced on his web site.
You can see the artwork that will be given away on his web site.

Brian, we must have twin Sophies! I have a yellow lab named Sophie who steals my socks, won’t go in the basement, soaks my slippers, is a labzilla and ninja, and steals food, especially bread products. We love her dearly. Reading your comic makes it possible to laugh at our lives. Thank you, Bobby Sue and nosophie (people think that that is her name, NOSophie.

Brian:
Your strip makes our day. I don’t know how anyone can claim to be a dog lover and not love your strip. Sophie’s antics are hilarious and so true to life that it’s uncanny. We have a pound puppy that is part lab, husky and a lot of hound mixed in. Her name is Kylie, but ever since we discovered your strip, she gets called Sophie a lot. There has not been one escapade of Sophie’s that we can’t see Kylie in. Especially the squirrels. Kylie goes nuts over them. We were wondering if Sophie has any fear of thunderstorms? That is one issue we have not seen addressed in any of your strips yet. Kylie runs and tries to hide from the storms any place she can. Thanks for the fun comic strip and keep up the good work!
