Back in March I told you Mark Buford was heading across the pond for some engagement and while there he met up with a cartoonist group called Cartoon Country. While there Mark was interviewed for their podcast. That podcast has now been posted. Enjoy.

Great interview. I love Scary Gary. It’s sad that it’s only in 50 papers and that Mark has to keep his day job. I would love to hear from any other syndicated toonist about thier transition to full time tooning and how long did they have to toon a daily while working a day job.

I have yet to listen to the interview, but I am hoping to hear that Mark will get into merchandising his unique cast of characters at some point. A talking Travis would make my day.

Thanks for posting this, Alan… I am a new “Scary Gary” fan thanks to you… Loved the podcast… and I, too, am surprised at a mere 50 papers. I’m sure that’ll change in the future.
