We’ve been suspended (but only on Facebook)

For some odd reason which they seem unwilling to explain, Facebook has suspended our account. If you are used to seeing links from us there, be assured we are still here and are still posting regularly.

If we are reinstated, you’ll see us back on FB. If not, we’ll all survive somehow.

We’re hanging in.

Update: We’re back, and here’s a song to celebrate!

  1. And we are back up for “viewing” on Facebook, at least until the next time Mike pisses off the AI bots by dissing The Zuck.

  2. I had my FB account suspended too, last month. The excuse was that apparently my Instagram and Facebook accounts were at odds with each other, showed anomalies, whatever. I’ve come back on FB as Alex McGookin.

  3. So which post got you suspended? Is it one of the ones linked here? Do you think Muskrat is behind it?

    Richard

  4. My personal page remains suspended. What else is new? They killed my first one because, despite my sending them three copies of my driver’s license, they refused to believe I was at least 13 years old. I had had the page for 17 years.

    1. You obviously forgot to pay the shakedown fee Facebook requires of all regular posters. If you’re not willing to pony up like the Russians, advertisers and other purveyors of disinformation, you get blocked.

  5. Think of being banned by Facebook as an honor:

Bernard: Yes indeed. As you know, the letters “JB” are the most outstanding honour in the Commonwealth.
    Hacker: “JB”?
Sir Humphrey: “Jailed by the British”. Gandhi, Nkrumah, Makarios, Ben Gurion, Kenyatta, Nehru, Mugabe, the list of world leaders is endless
    –Yes, Minister

  6. I have been looking for a good excuse to terminate my dormant account at Zuckerberg’s putrid sewer for a long while. Whenever he pulls another stupid stunt I think “Now’s the time!“, but every time I face the prospect of wasting several more hours of my life just to pull the FB-plug (cleanly and completely), I chicken out (again).

  7. I’ve never signed up for Facebook, Instagram, or X / Twitter, so I don’t have to worry about things like this.

Never trusted them from Day 1, so no worries here! And it means I can live a real life…

  8. Glad you’re back, but thank you for this reminder to add daily cartoonist shortcut on my home screen in case they perpetrate more ridiculousness upon your personal page.

  9. I am suspended from FB. I started to open my first account ever. I put in my name, etc., did the puzzle to prove I am not a robot, and uploaded a photo.
I was immediately told I violated the community guidelines, but not which ones. When I tried to access the guidelines, I got a message “page not available”.
