The Cartoon Crossroads Columbus, “a comics, art & animation festival,” begins next week in Columbus, Ohio and, as always, in association with The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum, also in Columbus.
Quickly followed by the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists Convention from October 5 to 8, 2023
The Association of American Editorial Cartoonists, whose mission is “to champion and defend editorial cartooning and free speech,” will hold their annual convention in San Francisco this year. The AAEC will be joined by members of the Association of Canadian Cartoonists and will be partnering with San Francisco’s Cartoon Art Museum.
Special note: The Daily Cartoonist will be represented in the form of Mike Peterson!
On the other side of the United States cartoonists, movie and television stars, exhibitors and cosplayers will be showing up for the New York Comic Con on October 12 – 15, 2023 in New York City.
On the other side of the world it is Spring not Autumn, but the months remain the same…
“The world’s oldest cartooning organisation” The Australian Cartoonists Association will be holding their annual Stanley Conference and Awards meeting and dinner on October 28 and 29, 2023 at Melbourne.
Individual cartoonists will also be making appearances and holding exhibitions throughout the Fall.
The Cartoons of Randy Bish exhibit is currently at The Jimmy Stewart Museum.
Local Fauna, a retrospective of American artist Peter de Sève is at the Philippe Labaune Gallery.
And it seems Stephan Pastis is always on the road.
