Jef Mallett visits local elementary school

Jef Mallett, creator of “Frazz“, recently visited a local elementary school to talk about his profession and to promote reading.

Since Frazz is about a school janitor – this trip also serves as a field trip.

“What I get coming into a school like this is background,” said Mallett, whose comic strip centers on a school janitor who is a friend and role model to kids. “Everything goes in the bank (pointing to his brain) and eventually it pops out.”

  1. This Sunday’s comic shows a lady walking away from her car. Jef Mallett drew two left feet on the lady. Was this done to see if anyone would notice, or was it just a slip? Also, Frazz has his ears too far back on his head. I’m wondering if he did that to see if anyone is really paying attention, or, did he do it to get more chuckles from his readers? It got me to write this drivel.
