Westergaard video brings threats to teen creator

A 17 year-old teen girl created a video based on Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” music video that has resulted in threats. The video, entitled “Dangerous Romance with Kurt Westergaard,” was created to show “love and support” for Danish Mohammad cartoonist Kurt Westergaard. The video went viral in Denmark, but the high school media student has found that not everyone appreciates her form of support.

The Copenhagen Post also mentions that a water painting by Westergaard created to be auctioned off to raise money for Haiti was banne from a charity auction house citing concerns over the safety of the house’s staff. Another gallery has stepped in and so far the painting has raised 45,000 kroner.

Editor’s note #1: Thanks to Mike Cope for finding the video.

Editor’s note #2: After watching the video, I sincerely apologize for subjecting you to it. I couldn’t get through it for fear I’d jab my eyes out with a sharp object. Plus some of the language and gestures are vulgar. Watch at own risk.

  1. Thanks Mike! Video posted.

  2. “has raised 45,000 kroner”

Kind of sounds like a mercenary army from a “300” type film.

“We will fight you in the shade, with over 45,000 kroner!!”
