Let’s start this comic strip stuff with panel nonsense.

Boing Boing, who regularly features collections of comics they discover to their liking recently
put the spotlight on thirty “Absurd And Humorous One-Panel Comics By Scott Hilburn.”
Unfortunately the it appeared before the above issue of The Argyle Sweater.
Thomas Yeates created a new title panel for his and Mark Schultz’s Prince Valiant.
It first appeared on August 28, 2022 and we finally got a nice clean image of it
(as opposed to the one I captured and posted to our Facebook page).

Bill Watterson’s original art illustration of Calvin and Hobbes commenting on adult illiteracy from the estate of Lee Salem is our prelude to ScreenRant’s “10 Most Heartwarming Calvin and Hobbes Comics.”
Calvin and Hobbes … was often a comment on the ways of the world through the eyes of a very peculiar little boy. Calvin and Hobbes ranged everywhere from whimsical to introspective to just plain silly, but often it was truly touching. These ten comics are the most heart-warming the strip had to offer.

Ben and Olivia have been commenting on newspapers and comics the past couple days.
Readers have responded in kind to the Ben strips.
And now for something completely different for Gil Thorp readers.

Office Hours calls it a day.
Early this year we reproduced a missing week of Office Hours for which Comics Kingdom didn’t have the proof sheets (we assume) and made a claim as to when the panel ended later in that year.
Allan Holtz corrected us as to when it ended:
According to the King Features Microfilm Catalogue, the material for Office Hours actually ended on 8/10/74, obviously running out the backlog of Mr. Olson’s panel. I can’t find anyone who ran that final week, but the Grand Rapids Press ran it until 8/3/74.

Apparently Comics Kingdom doesn’t have the proof sheets of that last week.
Office Hours hasn’t been updated since they ran the August 3, 1974 panel.
After multiple nominations…
