Hackers break into King Features Comics Kingdom

The Washington Post computer security blog is reporting that readers of the Timesunion.com Comics Kingdom section was compromised by hackers who injected code that prompted readers to download malicious software. The exploit was a newly discovered security flaw in Adobe Reader and Acrobat. The Comics Kingdom is King Features’ online revenue sharing comic product for online newspapers. Comics Kingdom appears in approximately 50 different news sites. Adobe is aware of the issue and plan to release a fix in mid-January. Until then, Adobe tells readers to turn of JavaScript to mitigate the vulnerability
