Cartoon museum features Fantastic Mr. Fox exhibit

The Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco will open an exhibit of original work from the upcoming feature film “Fantastic Mr. Fox” on November 23rd and will run through January 10, 2009. This exhibit features two sets from the stop motion animated film, “Flint Mine – We Took Everything” and “Farmer Scale Yellow Door,” which include puppets and props used in the film’s production. These works will be displayed in conjunction with the Cartoon Art Museum’s permanent collection of classic animation cels and drawings throughout the holiday season.

The movie, which features the voice talent of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Michael Gambon, Willem Dafoe and Eric Anderson opens November 25th.

  1. The previews of this seem disjointed in the stop motion animation. I am not sure if it is the fact that the characters are animals. Just think it doesn’t match up to a Tim Burton effort or even the old Rankin/Bass xmas specials.
