Thomas Nast up for NJ Hall of Fame

Thomas Nast, considered as the Father of American Editorial Cartooning, is one of this year’s nominees for the New Jersey Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame honors citizen “who have made invaluable contributions to society and the world beyond.” Nast lived in Morristown, New Jersey after receiving death threats from Boss Tweed. Also in the running in the General category: Judy Blume, William J. Brennan, Doris Duke, Milton Friedman, and Philip Roth.

  1. I hope when they mention Nast achievements, they will show his anti- Irish cartoons. “Having made invaluable contributions to society and the world… we give you the Irish monkey.
