AAEC to weigh into Danish cartoon controversy
Skip to commentsE&P is reporting that the AAEC is drafting a response to the Danish cartoons that have inflamed Europe and the Middle East.
“We have a lot of opinions about this, but we’re pretty close to a consensus,” said Nick Anderson, the organization’s vice president.
Anderson — a Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist for The Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky., and the Washington Post Writers Group — said the AAEC felt it was important to think about the matter carefully before issuing a statement. “We don’t want to make a mistake,” said Anderson, who’s moving to the Houston Chronicle next week.
When they release the statement, I’ll post it.
