Cartoonist and illustrator Moira McDonough has passed away.

Moira Anne McDonough
March 18, 1961 – April 1, 2021

From the obituary:

A graduate of Lexington High School and Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA, she moved to Portland, OR to become an illustrator and cartoonist.

Moira’s commercial illustration life in the Pacific Northwest led to creating a number of logos for businesses and organizations there.

Ancient Grains Kitchen was a regular customer and they paid tribute to her:

We had to say goodbye to our dear friend Moira McDonough. You have seen her graphics on all of Ancient Grains Kitchen products and promo material throughout the years. The energy of her unending love, support and enthusiasm shone thru every character she drew. We are going to miss you friend and sister!

These were contracted through her McToon Studio.

Around 2010 Moira created The Penvy Pages and put them up on Comics Sherpa.
At the same time she put the characters in a book called Venus Penvy.
