Editorial cartooning Exhibits Speaking Engagements

French and U.S. Artists to Speak at Cartoon Event

American cartoonists will join up with their counterparts from across the pond for a cartoon event called “Drawing Inspiration: The Art of the Editorial Cartoon” sponsored by the French Institute Alliance Francaise.

With eye-catching imagery and clever wordplay, an editorial cartoon says far more than a thousand-word article, inspiring us to look at a topic from a different perspective. Watch as Plantu and Joel Pett, the top creative minds?and hands?from both sides of the Atlantic, sketch live on stage and discuss the art of political cartoons.

The event is in New York City on January 19. For ticket information, visit their web site.
