Al Goodwyn Wins 2020 Journalism Dateline Award

It’s a Bizarro World.

As a recent Al Goodwyn cartoon is embroiled in controversy,
Al has concurrently received an award for his editorial cartoons.

The Washington, D.C., Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists on June 9 announced the recipients of its 2020 Dateline Awards for journalism excellence in 2019.

“These awards recognize some of the best journalism being done in the Washington, D.C., region by some of the best reporters around,” said SPJ DC President Randy Showstack. “SPJ DC applauds these journalists for their outstanding efforts to shine a light on issues that the public needs to be aware of.”
