» The ToonSeum in Pittsburg PA will exhibit the art of Mother Goose and Grimm creator and editorial cartoonist Mike Peters. The exhibit begins October 17 and runs through January 4.
» The ToonSeum is also holding a panel discussion on October 18 featuring Mike Peters, Ann Telnaes and Rob Rogers on the topic of editorial cartooning and the 2008 Presidential election. The discussion will be held at the Andy Warhol Museum Theater and museum admission is required.
» Brian Cronin over on the Comic Book Resources blog has presented several pieces of Thomas Nast cartoons – some you’ve probably seen, some you may not have.
» E&P report that Andrews McMeel Publishing is releasing a new Price Valiant collection that comprises the strips from 2004 through 2008. The book is entitled, “Far from Camelot.”
» Creators Syndicate has announced a collection of Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.
» Nancy cartoonist Guy Gilchrist is launching a second career based on one of his first loves – music.
