Patrick McDonnell’s meditative life

I missed this story which ran on nj.com (New Jersey) about Patrick McDonnell’s new book “The Gift of Nothing”. The article also discusses Patrick’s attempt to keep life in the slow lane.

“To tell you the truth,” he chuckled, “I don’t get out much anyway. A cartoonist’s life is like a monk’s life, very solitary. I have my cat and dog in the studio. It’s a meditative life.”
